The objective of this partnership is to promote education and capacity building to the youth so they can develop the essential skills to seek more opportunities in the formal labor market.

In addition to English and employability, the curriculum includes components of: information technology, tourism, communication, entrepreneurship, citizenship and leadership. All activities emphasize teamwork, critical thinking, analytical skills, problem analysis, and career and life planning.

The initiative is supported by the Governments of the United States and Rio de Janeiro and will be implemented between 2011 and 2016, with the initial goal of benefiting 1,000 youth per year. USAID/Brazil will monitor and evaluate the project.
