This participation is essential to enhance the impact of our programs, as well as to provide employees with spaces for exchange, learning, and exercising citizenship.
Opportunities in English and Portuguese
In 2024, Grupo +Unidos will offer opportunities for volunteer work in Portuguese and English that aims to contribute to the development of the careers of the participants of our programs as well as to the professional path of our volunteers.
Round-table talks (Portuguese)
The round-table talks are for participants of the English programs who still can’t carry on an entire conversation in English. The aim is to create a networking environment so they can develop their speaking skills and talk to people who are already in the job market.
A guide with specific content for each session will be provided.
Volunteers vacancies: around 50
Subscriptions dates: April to May 2024
Duration: July (one month) in 4 sessions
Hours given per volunteer: approximately 3
Beneficiary: 50 young people
Talks and tutorials (Portuguese)
The talks and tutorial programs are for those who desire to participate in the projects in specific ways. Our programs count on a diversity of special guests from different areas who meet with our participants to share experiences and knowledge, mainly about study and work.
This year, we are looking for people who can talk with students about their field of study choice, time management, and tools and resources for action plan development.
The participation can be previously arranged to fit the volunteer’s agenda and the programs. The meetings take from 30 minutes to 2 hours. The lectures can be held online or on-site.
Volunteers vacancies: Around 15
Subscriptions dates: April to May 2024
Duration: specific, between June and November. Date to be set with the volunteer.
Hours given per volunteer: around 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Beneficiary: from 25 to 30 young people
Career mentorship (English)
Career mentorship in English is part of our teaching programs of the language to young adults. The goal is to develop the students’ soft skills at the same time we interact with professionals in the job market.
Mentors will also have to participate in a training held between June and July 2024. A guide will be provided with specific content for each mentoring session.
Volunteers vacancies: 325
Subscriptions dates: April to May 2024
Duration: from August to November
Hours given per volunteer: around 10.
Beneficiary: 325 young people
Round-table talks (English)
The round-table talks program in English is an initiative of Grupo +Unidos that happens in July for the courses in the language.
The program has 4 conversation sessions of 45 minutes that can be done in groups or individually. A guide with specific content is provided for each session.
