São Paulo – The English Language Teaching Office (RELO) of the United States Embassy and Consulates in partnership with the startup ChatClass have released the free use of the English teaching robot learning platform on WhatsApp. The goal is to help English teachers working in basic education and students of language courses.
The platform is the same used in the 2019 English Olympics, a cultural contest that had the participation of 100 thousand students and 6 thousand teachers from public and private schools in Brazil. The exercises also serve as preparation for this year’s edition of the competition, which is scheduled for the second semester.
Everything is done by WhatsApp, there is no need to download another application. The exercises offered are aimed at Elementary 2 and High School, and are aligned with the BNCC (National Common Curricular Base).
Interested teachers can send “Oi” to the number (11) 97585-0888 on WhatsApp or access the website my.chatclass.com.br. Students studying alone also have access to activities on the website.
“Constant practice is essential for us to communicate better and better, and the availability of the activities used in the 2019 English Olympics is an opportunity to practice via cell phone. This will certainly enrich classes and motivate students to continue practicing and learning ”, says RELO Office regional director, Jennifer Uhler, in a note.
With the mission of strengthening the partnership between Brazil and the United States through the dissemination of English teaching, RELO offers opportunities for professional and educational training, as well as exchange programs and materials for English teachers and students. Interested parties can access the US Embassy website for more information.
