The US Consulate General in SP, through Grupo +Unidos, a collaborative social investment fund, launched in 2019 the E2C – English to Connect, Communicate and Catalyze, with the aim of preparing young professionals and / or Afro-descendant entrepreneurs with proficiency in English language.
As part of the pilot project, in its second phase, young people were mentored in English for ten weeks to leverage their careers through the support of the Joule Institute.
Participating in this program were mentors from the areas of marketing, IT, strategic consulting, auditing, engineering and law, working from large global institutions in Brazil, USA, Germany and France.
Along with representatives from the US Diplomatic Mission and Grupo +Unidos, the Joule Institute was present at the closing ceremony of the course and honored the graduates of the first class of the initiative.
In 2020, E2C became even more necessary with the coronavirus pandemic crisis and with worsening racial issues and disparities around the world. In this context, Joule Institute joins again the Grupo +Unidos and the American Consulate to connect and unite these young people with professionals in the labor market, so that, together, they create a life and career plan with better perspectives, developing skills such as resilience and leadership.
For this year, Joule will again have excellent professionals.
The launch of mentoring will take place on August 31 and young people will have three months of exclusive monitoring by a mentor. The program will close in December, when the final graduation ceremony and certificate delivery will take place.
