
In the midst of the pandemic, this week, Gerdau made financial contributions of R $ 100,000 to the Health Secretariat of Pindamonhangaba and R $ 50,000 to Santa Casa de Misericórdia in the municipality. The allocation of resources will contribute to the purchase of hospital instruments and supplies from two new Emergency Care Units (UPAs) and the hospital.
The financial contribution adds to other donations that the Company made in the Vale do Paraíba region to combat the new coronavirus, including various safety equipment (PPE), such as masks and face shields. “This contribution is part of a total amount of R $ 20 million, which Gerdau destined for initiatives promoted in the municipalities in which it is present, since the moment calls for the collaboration and unity of all”, says Cristiane Spadini, People manager Gerdau Summit.
