A group of 81 volunteers participated of IX Mutirão, a joint effort of painting and gardening at Dr. João Pedro de Carvalho Neto Municipal School, located at Capão Redondo Neighborhood, south area of São Paulo. Besides employees of Corporate Office, friends, relatives, school employees and suppliers joined Alcoans in this activity.

The joint effort was also an ACTION (Alcoans Coming Together in Our Neighborhoods), a worldwide volunteer program that supports the efforts of employee teams which volunteer together on a community service project. Employee ACTION teams contribute time, energy and skills to vital community programs and projects, and Alcoa matches their time with grants of up to $3000 to help build the capacity of the local benefiting not-for-profit organization.

Suzana Sheffield, Instituto Alcoa Vice President, delivers the donation to Fabio Rodrigo Conceição, School Director.
