SÃO LUIZ DE PARAITINGA - It does not mind if you have known or not the small and charming city of São Luiz do Paraitinga, in the countryside of São Paulo. It is impossible to not be impressed while seeing scenes of the city destruction after the rains of early 2010. Besides the material damage, the place will have to rebuilt your history and your life at all - the colonial houses, narrow streets and even the Carnival traditions, which have always kept alive the traditional marches.

United Way Brasil (UWB), which is working in partnership with Civil Defense and the Military Police, is making a fund-raising campaign called “Reviver Sao Luiz do Paraitinga”. According to IPT (Institute for Technological Research from Sao Paulo), 300 buildings were affected by the flood and a great number of its population, i.e., 11 thousand habitants, had to leave their houses and now they need assistance in food, water, mattresses, hygiene and cleaning products.

In order to assist the victims of this tragedy, the enterprises from +Unidos Group are organizing a fund-raising campaign to be sent to the city. In addition to cash contributions, assistance offered by +Unidos members includes donations of food, water, medicines, articles of hygiene, and some other supplies.
